Police arrest suspected attackers of police stations in Southeast

Nigeria Police Force said they had arrested 16 suspects that are involved in the violent attacks on security operatives and facilities for some states particularly in the South-Eastern part of the country.

Police said the arrest was a result of the hard work of Police officers that collaborated with the Army and Air Force to grabbed those people that are responsible for the new trend of attacks on security personnel.

”No murderer will go unpunished, we are closing upon them,” said the Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu.

Adamu said the Force will not tolerate any further attack on their personnel or any citizen by any individual or group under any pretense whatsoever.

He promised that the law enforcement agency has gathered enough intelligence on the attack and they have close to catching all the suspects that are involved in the attacks, either directly or indirectly, for giving money or helping the criminal.

Adamu also said they will charge or the criminals to court as soon as they finish their investigation.

Police arrest those suspects in different parts of the country and recover nine AK47 rifles, five other sophisticated firearms, seventeen AK47 Magazines, 549 AK47 live ammunition, 10 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), camouflage bulletproof vests, walkie talkies and others from the suspects.

They added that their investigations link the suspects to different attacks and murder of security personnel plus stealing, unlawful possession of firearms, arson, and damage to the properties of security personnel.
