Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, stunned all, including PDP representatives, at the South-West zonal congress in Osogbo, Osun State, on Monday, when he resolved his differences with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and referred to him as his chief.
In his remarks prior to the start of the congress, Fayose said, “Seyi Makinde is my leader.” He is and will continue to be our leader. Since we are one, enemies do not come between us.
“The burning problem in the PDP is circumstantial. Who do we have as our leaders? Our leader is Seyi Makinde.
Our leader is Prince Olavunsoye Oyinlola. Segun Oni is our leader, and regardless of the result of the election, he will continue to lead us.
“Though, he had tonguelashed me time without numbers but despite that, I will still rejoice, dine and wine with him if he wins. We are one family and our unity should be paramount in our minds.”
In his own remark, Governor Makinde described the exercise as a family affair and charged all party members to take the outcome of the election without causing problems.
