Benue: Ortom commiserates with Mr. Tyoapine Cheme on wife’s death


Benue State Gov. Samuel Ortom has commiserated with the  Benue State House of Assembly (BSHA) Majority Leader, Mr. Tyoapine Cheme, on the death of his wife.

This was contained in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Terver Akase, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Makurdi.

The Governor, in the statement, described the death of Mrs. Cheme as “shocking and quite painful, not only to her family but also to the entire state”.

He described her as a God-fearing woman who upheld true Christian virtues and related cordially with those who came in contact with her.

Ortom prayed that God will grant the deceased eternal rest.

The governor urged the Majority Leader and the entire Cheme family to take solace in the fact that their wife and mother lived an exemplary life and had gone to be with the Lord.
