UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, will make a whopping $1.5million after his second-round knockout win over Jorge Masvidal in UFC 261 on Sunday.

The battle which occurred in front of 15,000 sold-out lovers at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida, lived up to its billing.

Usman floored Masvidal in front of his home fans, to retain his UFC name for the fourth time.

In accordance with sportekz.com, the Nigerian will be paid an astonishing $1.5m, while Masvidal will make as much as $900,000 thanks to the crowd at the venue and a top Pay Per View sale.

Usman includes a guaranteed $750,000 for its fight appearance and yet another $60,000 promotional incentive. He made himself an additional $50,000 because his bout was selected among both Performances of The Night in addition to that of teammate,” Rose Namajunas.

In his final fight against Gilbert Burns, he (Usman) raked in a whopping $900,000 because his share from the PPV buys, along with a performance bonus of $50,000.
