The Kano state government has ordered the immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College in light of recent waves of insecurity in neighboring states, as well as intelligence reports.

Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id, the state commissioner of education, said the decision was based on a “disturbing intelligence survey.”

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration, he claims, is taking effective steps to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff at the College.

The closure, according to Malam Sa’id Kiru, “was necessitated following an alarming security report and the need to protect the lives of the college’s students, teachers, and other workers.”

As a result, he urged parents to remove their children from the College immediately and await further instructions.
