Hoodlums Attack Imo Information Commissioner’s Hometown, Set House Ablaze

In the early hours of Sunday, suspected hoodlums posing as “unknown gunmen” assaulted and set fire to the homes of Imo state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, in his hometown of Ubulu in the Oru West local government area of the state.

The event occurred at 2 a.m., according to sources in Owerri.

The hoodlums set fire to the building after firing indiscriminately in and around the town, sparking fear and forcing locals to flee for safety, according to reports.

When Vanguard contacted Declan Emelumba, the Imo state commissioner for Information and Strategy, he acknowledged the incident and stated that no lives had been lost.
