Kwara Police Command states that it tries in a hotel room in Ilorin, the capital of the State, to uncover circumstances concerning the death of a lady.
According to a statement by police spokesman Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, on Tuesday, the corpse still to be identified was found at the Premium Diamond Hotel, Adewole area of the town.
The Kwara police command found that the body was intact and not mutilated, as the doctors have confirmed.
The commander of the state police has now alerted any public member whose daughter or ward was missing from 28 May 2021 to visit the CID Homicide Section of the command to identify the dead body.
The Police spokesman said in a graphic discovery, ‘At approximately 19.30 pm, on 28th May.2021, when a call was issued from one Olalekan Anafi, a supervisor at the Premium Diamond hotel in Ilorín.
Adewole revealed that one Adegboye James (m), from No. 12, Okelewo Street, in Ede, Osun State, was lodged at the hotel at approximately 1400hours on 27th May, 2021.
“Adegboye James said, that at a point he left the hotel premises and returned with a female, Later he checked out without any hotel staff being aware of it.
‘A spare key was used to open the room and confronted the dead lady’s body in the afternoon when nothing was heard from the room that the lodger occupied.
The name and address of the lodger in the hotel logbook were also discovered to be wrong. The spokesperson told the incident investigation that the State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Lawal Bagega, “arrested the lodger” was already in an advanced phase.
