Following a 1-1 tie with Ghana on Tuesday, Nigeria is facing fines from FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The Super Eagles were unable to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 as a result of their performance.
In retaliation, the enraged fans attacked Ghanaian players and fans, trashing their belongings and equipment.
The crowd demolished the substitute benches, demanding that Nigerian Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick be removed (NFF).

“Pinnick must leave!” “Pinnick must go!!” yelled the crowd, as others chastised Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen.
To disperse the enraged mob, the police were compelled to use tear gas.
FIFA and CAF are both against violence and crowd disturbance in stadiums, and Nigeria might face a fine or a stadium ban as a result.
