Majigiri: No resentful members in Katsina PDP

There are no disgruntled party members, according to the Peoples Democratic Party’s Katsina State chapter, and they are all working together to win the general elections in 2023.

Alhaji Yusuf Majigiri, the chairman of the Katsina PDP, revealed this to reporters shortly after a recent meeting with the Katsina PDP Aspirants’ Forum at the party office.

All of the PDP candidates in Katsina State who ran in the party primary election of 2022 but were unsuccessful are represented in the forum.

Majigiri claims that the Katsina PDP is prepared to send the APC parking from the Katsina State Government House in 2023 based on the amount of togetherness within the party.
“In Katsina, we don’t have aggrieved PDP members. We don’t have anybody that is protesting against the leadership of anybody or against the candidature of anybody.

“Those we expected to be aggrieved are those that contested in the primary election. You saw them. They are more than ever united and they are supporting the candidature of those that emerged.

“We just finished a meeting with all of them. They are here at the Katsina PDP headquarter to show their solidarity to all the candidates at all levels.

“Remember, I contested for the governorship of the state alongside Senator Yakubu Lado, Architect Ahmed Aminu, and Shehu Inuwa Imam. We are all here. None of us decamp to another party. So also the senators and house of representatives aspirants.

“What we need to win in the state is unity. Especially, the unit of those that aspired into the various offices and our aspirants are united at all levels.

“Recall that I ran against Senator Yakubu Lado, Architect Ahmed Aminu, and Shehu Inuwa Imam for the position of state governor. Everybody is present. None of us leave to join another gathering. Likewise, prospective senators and congressmen.

“Unity is what we need to win in the state. Particularly, our aspirants and the group of people who sought to fill the various offices are unified on all fronts.

According to Majigiri, the chairman of the Katsina PDP, “We are asking on all PDP members in problematic states to follow Katsina PDP by being united when the presidential and national assembly campaign commences by 28 September.”

Before welcoming the PDP aspirants forum members, according to Majigiri, party officials met with all of the PDP candidates in the state, including the chairmen of the party in each of the 34 local government areas, to discuss and lay out the party’s campaign strategy from the polling places up to the wards, local government, and state levels.
