Senator Dino Melaye, the spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, stated that if the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, wins the 2023 elections, he will be devoted to his plan to reorganize the nation.

When discussing Atiku’s ideas for restructuring on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Thursday night, Melaye said the former vice president has the power to get things moving on his agenda the moment he took government.

“The question is when he wins. Atiku has written a book about restructuring, so he is not just talking the talk about it. When it was risky for any northerner to discuss restructuring, Atiku did so outspokenly. He is therefore speaking from the heart, and whatever he says, he stands by it. And I want to tell you that, it’s not going to be a matter of one or two years, it is something that he’s going to start immediately. He has the capacity to make sure that all his five agenda kickstart from the first day in office.”

On the issue of unifying the country, Melaye described the former Atiku as a “celebrated problem solver”, adding that the PDP presidential candidate was the only aspirant who could be trusted by Nigerians in every region of the country. He stated that Atiku could not be accused of being ethnocentric or religiously bigoted.
The former senator for Kogi West claimed that Atiku has attempted to reunite the party after months of the division since the June presidential primary.

Every family will inevitably experience difficulties and conflicts. However, I can assure you that Atiku has done an excellent job of uniting the PDP. It is also a continuous exercise. Many of the individuals who signed the declaration in Port Harcourt stating that they would not participate in the Presidential Campaign Council were there yesterday at the council’s inauguration as we speak. Atiku Abubakar is making an attempt. He has exhibited generosity. He has proven to be mature. He has demonstrated that paternal concern.

Melaye asserted that the PDP candidate will put an end to calls for nationalism by making sure that justice was served to all Nigerians, regardless of their ethnicity or religious beliefs.
