2 Nigerians Sentenced to 40-Years-Imprisonment in Ghana

Bright Okwara and Ferdinand Obi have been accused of committing the crime on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, in Kasoa New Market Junction, which is located in the Central Region of Ghana. It is believed that the crime was done.

The pair went away with a grand total of 11,800 Ghana cedis.

Before the defendants were convicted, Detective Sergeant Addai Boamah told the court that the two Nigerian nationals were following the victim around on motorbikes after he withdrew money from the bank. Boamah’s testimony came before the defendants were sentenced.

They were detained on remand for a period of five months until His Lordship Ebenezer Osei handed down their sentences of forty years in prison today, on October 3.

They began their pursuit of the victim in Kasoa New Market and continued it at Market Junction, where they robbed him.

Although the suspects were successful in stealing the victim, the victim gave chase on his motorcycle and caused one of the suspects to crash, which led to their capture.
