Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), is accused by the convener of Concerned Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogenyi Okpoku, of patronizing failures by calling campaign supporters failures.
On Thursday night, Ogenyi made the assertion while participating as a panelist on Channels Television Politics Today.
He claimed that several governors who have failed their respective states are in contact with Obi.
“Mr. Peter Obi’s first port of call is failure. He is belittling those who fail. If you look around his campaign, you’ll see failures who are incapable of accepting responsibility for their acts.
“I’ll say that, yes. I don’t want to even mention the part of his DG that was found guilty. All of the governors who are in Peter Obi’s immediate vicinity are failures.
He said that Obi often patronized governors who had failed their various states, saying, “There are governors he travels to visit.”
