7 people killed, 5 injured in auto accident in Niger

In an automobile accident that occurred Tuesday night in Niger’s Gunu village, Munya Local Government Area, seven people perished and five others were injured.

The News Agency of Nigeria in Minna was informed on Wednesday that the collision involved a Toyota Camry and a Sharon commercial bus the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Niger, Kumar Tsukwam.

“The accident included twelve people, seven of whom died and five of whom were injured.

“We found N36,200 in addition to a bag of yam, a Nikon camera, two chargers, a cord, wedding invitation cards, a flash drive, a phone battery, four keys, photos, and a little bag.
“The deceased was deposited at General Hospital Mortuary Minna, while the injured victims were rescued and sent to the closest hospital for treatment.
At the Munya Divisional Police Office, the vehicles were “turned over to the police,” he claimed.

Mr. Tsukwam attributed the accident to one of the drivers’ speeding and loss of control and recommended drivers to always adhere to the posted speed limit to prevent collisions.
