Adeboye knocks FG over over plan to redesign naira

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who serves as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has criticized the choice that the Federal Government has made to redesign the naira notes.
The fact that people are starving and require money to buy food, as he points out, demonstrates that the choice made by the government was in the wrong place.

This was mentioned by Adeboye during a sermon that was given on Friday as part of a programmed event at his church with the subject of “Let it rain.”
He asked, “Are you aware of what’s happening in our country right now?” It doesn’t make any sense at all now. Our Naira right now isn’t even worth the paper it’s written on, never alone what it was worth before.
“And when people are starving and struggling to find enough money to purchase bread to eat, our executives are thinking about making the Naira more attractive.”
