Onome Ebi, the captain of the Super Falcons, signed a one-year contract with the newly promoted team, and she was yesterday introduced by Levante Las Palnas of Spain.
The 39-year-old participant in the seven previous editions of the African Women’s Cup of Nations will carry on with her diligent professional career adventure.
Ebi joined the Spanish Primera Iberdrola team, ending her extended period of club dormancy since she parted company with Belarusian team Minsk in November 2020, according to Savidnews.com.

Before her second stint at Minsk, the veteran defender, who started her career in Nigeria with Omidiran Babes and Bayelsa Queens, won four domestic titles, having joined the former Belarusian champions from then Swedish Damallsvenskan Sunnana SK in 2013.
She has also played for Swedish teams Djurgrden and Pitea as well as Chinese sides Henan, Ataşehir Belediyespor, and Düvenciler Lisesispor in Turkey.
She joins Cameroon-hitting legend Herriette Akaba as the newest African on the club’s roster upon her arrival.
She has been injured since July, keeping her off the international stage with Nigeria, but she hopes to make her football debut in Spain as soon as she is fully recovered.
