Breaking: Atiku, Okowa, Tambuwal attend as Wike, Ayu, Ortom, Makinde, others Shun PDP campaign inauguration

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and his supporters have boycotted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council’s official inauguration.
According to reports, governors in Wike’s group who did not attend the inauguration include Governors Samuel Ortom (Benue), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia).
Other party chieftains sympathetic to Wike’s camp also avoided the inauguration at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Chief Olabode George, Senator Jonah Jang, Ayo Fayose, Donald Duke, Dan Orbih, Olusegun Mimiko, and others are among the PDP chieftains who support Wike.

The remaining PDP governors who support the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, did attend the event.
Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Diri Duoye (Bayelsa), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Darius Ishaku (Taraba), Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), and Aminu Tambuwal were the governors (Sokoto).

Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP National Chairman, was noticeably absent from the event.

Senator Ayu’s absence, according to the Deputy National Chairman (North), Umar Damagum, who stood in for him, was due to illness.
