Breaking: Governor El-Rufai fires Kaduna State Assembly Clerk

Governor Nasir El-Rufai has approved the removal of Kaduna State House of Assembly Clerk Bello Zubairu Idris.

Dekeye, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication, confirmed the report.

The governor has ordered the immediate dismissal of Yau Yunusa Tanko, a permanent secretary, and Francis Kozah, the secretary of the Kaduna Enterprise Development Agency (KADEDA), in addition to the dismissal of Bello Zubairu Idris.

In addition, the governor has accepted the retirement of Stephen Joseph, another state permanent secretary.

Governor El-Rufai’s decision follows his recent pledge to continue demolishing buildings and removing undesirable individuals until the end of his term.

He made this claim at the launch of a book called “Putting The People First,” written by Emmanuel Ado, a well-known journalist and public commentator.
During the book launch, the governor stated, “Any bad thing we find, we will remove so that the next governor does not have to do it again.” Keep an eye out until the eleventh hour, when we will leave office. We will continue to fire bad people and get rid of bad things.”

This statement came after the El-Rufai administration revoked the right of occupancy for nine properties owned by Ahmed Makarfi, a former governor of the state, and marked them for demolition.
