Former Nasarawa West Senate Representative Abdullahi Adamu says the current administration is not a failure.
Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, made this statement to Senate Correspondents in Abuja on Monday.
In the opinion of the lawmaker, there is no basis for comparing Nigeria with other developing nations, as President Muhammadu Buhari has not failed Nigeria.
He insisted that Nigeria’s security problems have existed for decades.
Aside from making laws and recommending policies to the executive, Parliament does not have the authority to hire and fire.
No Nigerian problem is foreign to the current administration, according to the former Nasarawa governor, who noted that they have developed over time.
In his view, the division between northern and southern politicians dates back to the time of the amalgamation.
When asked about the sacking of some cabinet members, Senator Adamu said the decision was solely the President’s to make.
