Chelsea names Christopher as new technical director

As part of the new ownership structure overseen by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, Chelsea on Wednesday named Christopher Vivell as the London club’s technical director.
Prior to this, Vivell was employed by RB Leipzig, where he was in charge of scouting and recruiting across all age categories in his native Germany.

Vivell, who has previously worked with Salzburg, a club affiliated with Leipzig, called Chelsea’s construction “the most interesting project in world football.”
I am excited to contribute to the clear and sustainable ideology that is supported by performance analysis, data, and innovation under the new ownership, Graham Potter, and the larger sporting team, he said.
