Doyin Okupe, the leader of the Labour Party (LP), is adamant that Peter Obi would win the 2023 presidential election.
In reaction to the projections from the ThisDay Election Center, the politician provided an analysis on Tuesday.
The forecasts, according to Okupe, are “wrong, fake, and do not accurately reflect the situation on the ground across the country.”
They were “basically geared at misinforming the public,” the former presidential assistant said.
According to Okupe, the estimates disregarded a number of crucial election factors that have been in place in Nigeria’s political system for more than 60 years.
“Without a doubt, PO will receive at least 25% of the vote in 24 out of 25 states, including Taraba, Adamawa, and Gombe, and will outperform the other 3 in terms of numbers.
He is the one to defeat. In the SE (South-East), which includes all states in the SS, Peter Obi will win and take a commanding lead on average (70%) (South-South).

“In Lagos, PO will receive a minimum score of 40% in the SW (South-West). 25% in Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, and Oyo.
He tweeted, “Osun 15% minimum, NW (North-West) 40% minimum in Kaduna, and no less than 10% of all the other 6 states, primarily due to Igbo inhabitants.”
Okupe, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), most recently served as the campaign’s director general for Peter Obi and Yusuf Baba-Ahmed.
