DSS Debunks Joint Operation With United States Soldiers

The Department of State Services (DSS) of the United States decided against participating in a coordinated operation including the use of the American military after the United States was told of planned terrorist attacks.

Peter Afunanya, the spokesman for the DSS, stated that the security service did not get into any kind of physical confrontation with the foreign forces.

“Contrary to what has been extensively reported in the media, we did not participate in any activity together with American soldiers.

Despite the fact that an operation was carried out in an Abuja Estate with the assistance of sister agencies, he made it clear that no foreign soldiers were engaged.

During the search at Trademore Estate, many people who were suspected of belonging to Boko Haram or the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) were taken into custody.

The United States Embassy in Abuja made the announcement on Wednesday that the Department of State has given its approval for the evacuation of its personnel and their families.

It also encouraged its residents in Nigeria to postpone any plans to travel to the nation’s capital for the time being, and it recommended those who were already in the area either depart or keep a low profile.
