After selling Tesla shares to pay for the $44 billion purchase of Twitter, American billionaire Elon Musk is no longer the richest person in the world.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, finalized the acquisition of Twitter on October 28 for a price of $54.20 per share, or around $44 billion overall.

The richest persons in the world, according to Forbes, are Bernard Arnault and his family, who own LVMH, the parent company of the luxury brand Louis Vuitton, and have a combined personal wealth of $185.4 billion.
With a net worth of $185.3 billion, Elon Musk has been ranked first among the world’s richest people on the Forbes list since September 2021.
Elon Musk recently became a trending topic on the well-known microblogging website, Twitter, after he announced that he wants to purchase the English football team, Manchester United.
During a discussion about political ideologies, Musk, who is estimated to be worth 265.7 billion USD, wrote abruptly that he was purchasing the Premier League team at the bottom of the standings.

He wrote, “Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome”.
His tweet quickly garnered attention from fans who really wanted it to happen but they were later left disappointed when he added that he was only joking.
A Twitter user asked him – Are you serious?
He replied – No, this is a long-running joke on Twitter. I’m not buying any sports teams.
