Ghanaian actor Van Vicker takes lead Character in RedTV’s series public Figure


Ghanaian celebrity actor Van Vicker has returned to the displays with his appearance as a lead throw in RedTV’s new series, Public Figure.

Developed and produced in Ghana, the public Figure’ also comprises Dela Seade, Naa Ashorkor, Kingsley Yamoah, Benny Ashun, and Daisy Amankwah, in a story that revolves around electricity, marriage, politics, love, and celebrity life.

Scheduled to premiere on the RedTV’s platform on May 19, 2021, the platform’s Executive Director, Bola Atta who is also the Group Director of Communications in UBA claims the option of Ghana for the new show is a conscious step to create job opportunities in the creative sector across Africa.

“We have had content from Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Kenya, Burkina Faso, Senegal, and a couple of other African nations and Ghana is on our street map. ‘Public figure’ was filmed in Ghana by a Ghanaian cast and crew. We’ll continue to make job opportunities in the creative sector across Africa,” Atta says.

Atta also emphasized the decision to encourage more individuals to explore their talents with no fear or anxiety of not being able to reach their potential in a market that still has a huge quantity of growth to perform on the continent.
