Akuapem Poloo has been going through a rough time, since sharing her nude picture with her son on social media.
The actress was sentenced on Friday morning, April 16, 2021, by an Accra Circuit Court.
Akuapem Poloo was remanded in police custody on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, for allegedly publishing a nude photo of herself and her son. along with being charged with domestic violence.
Her photo was shared online back in 2020, bringing about legal issues for the actress.
There has been public outcry following after she was initially remanded on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
Celebrities including rapper Sarkodie, musician Efya, and actress Lydia Forson, have been leading the #FreeAkuapemPoloo campaign across social media.
Efya for instance described the Court’s decision to remand Akuapem Polo as a “misplaced” priority.
One of the Ghanian stars Sarkodie appealed to the Court to free her, saying “it’s harsh” to separate a child from his mother.
But the Court refused to heed to any ones pleads and at last went ahead to jail her for 90-days imprisonment.
