In Niger, four people killed, three injured in car accident

In a single accident that occurred on Sunday in Nami village, Agai Local Government Area, Niger State, four people perished, and three others were injured.

The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday night, according to Mr. Kumar Tsukwam, Sector Commander of the FRSC in Niger, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday.

49 male passengers from Lagos were sat on top of an articulated lorry that was carrying chemicals and traveling to Kano State, according to him.

“The accident involved 49 male participants; four of them passed away, three were injured, and the remaining 42 were unharmed.

“The deceased were deposited in the same hospital morgue in Lapai, while the injured victims were rescued and transferred to the General hospital Lapai.
He stated, “The recovered materials and the car were turned over to the Nami Village Police outpost office for safekeeping.

Tsukwam attributed the accident on the driver’s speeding and loss of control and recommended drivers to always adhere to the posted speed limit to prevent collisions.
