JAMB Changes Exam Schedules for 2022

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has adjusted its examination timelines to accommodate some exigencies, with the ultimate goal of ensuring maximum benefit to potential candidates.

The Board announced that the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will be held from Friday, May 6th, to Friday, May 16th, 2022, based on the breakdown of the adjusted timelines.

The Mock-UTME exercise, which was previously scheduled for April 2nd, 2022, will now be held on April 16th, 2022, for candidates who registered early and indicated their willingness to sit the Mock-UTME.

The date for the sale of the 2022 UTME/DE application document, which was set to begin on the 12th of February and end on the 19th of March 2022, has not changed.

The review, as approved by management, is to ensure that candidates who will be sitting the examination and others are not denied the opportunity to express themselves in other public examinations without forfeiting any examination, according to the latest edition of JAMB’s weekly bulletin.

While briefing his Management team on the pressing need for the changes, the Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, stated, “As a responsive organization, the interests of candidates and the general public alike would continue to shape our actions.”

“In addition, critical components of society’s inputs were sorted and factored into the planning process,” Oloyede explained.
