Job Vacancy: Edo conducts CBT for 4,000 applicants


The candidates were shortlisted among the over 15,000 persons that applied for various jobs. The State Head of Service, Barr. Anthony Okungbowa disclosed this during the weekend, to journalists in Benin City. He noted that the ongoing recruitment a part of reforms by Governor Godwin Obaseki-led’s administration to strengthen the state’s civil and public support for optimal and efficient service delivery. Okungbowa added that the continuing reforms in the civil service were also geared toward energizing government ministries, agencies and departments with the ideal tools and skills to deliver efficient support to Edo people.“’ We are rebranding the civil service and Mr. Governor is very passionate about ensuring the entire process becomes a victory,” Okungbowa explained.

The HOS who noticed that the government is assuring that only the best hands fill the empty positions, reassured the ongoing recruitment exercise is free, honest, merit-driven, and in accordance with international best practices. According to him, “Currently, the Computer Based Test for people service is ongoing. While applauding the Obaseki-led authorities for their giant strides in infrastructural and human capital growth, Okungbowa noted that Governor Obaseki is ready to continue to present his best to the advantage of every Edo citizen.
