In the previous nine months, at least 888 people have been slain in a series of violent incidents across Kaduna State. The state administration office published a quarterly security report that reflected this.
According to the data, 343 persons were slain by bandits between July and September of this year, said the administration office.
From January to September 2021, 2,553 persons were kidnapped by bandits in various localities around the state.
The killings were linked to kidnappings, banditry, communal confrontations, violent attacks, and reprisals, according to Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed his condolences to the victims of the assaults and ordered that surviving victims and families of the deceased be compensated immediately.
