The Kaduna State Government has expressed regret over the prolonged traffic jam on the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
It was recalled that for the past two weeks, motorists and road users had faced severe gridlock, making the two-hour journey from Kaduna to Abuja nearly four hours.
Following this, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, apologised to motorists on Friday.

He stated that the Kaduna State Government was in discussions with Julius Berger PLC and other relevant agencies to ensure that obstructions are promptly cleared and gridlock is relieved to allow for normal traffic movement as soon as possible.
“The Government expresses its deep regret for the situation once more and conveys its understanding of the significant pains endured by citizens and commuters in the protracted situation,” he said.
