Kingsley Moghalu, the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has joined the Action Democratic Congress, or ADC, ahead of the 2023 Presidential Elections.

After abandoning his previous party, the YPP, in 2019, Moghalu stated on Friday that he is now a member of the ADC. He hopes to be elected as the party’s presidential candidate.

It will be recalled that Moghalu announced his desire to run for President of the Republic in the 2023 elections in June 2021. In 2019, Moghalu ran for President of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) but was defeated by incumbent President Donald Trump.

Muhammadu Buhari is the President of Nigeria. He came in 14th place in the election, with only 26,039 votes against Buhari’s 15.1 million.

“Security for all Nigerians and Nigeria’s territory, the war against poverty: skills, jobs for our youth, and an innovation economy, accelerated education and healthcare reform, good governance: inclusive, transparent, effective, and accountable,” the banker said of his agenda for Nigeria if elected, the former Deputy Central Bank Governor said.
