Some Christian leaders in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital have called on Nigerians to be part of the political process rather than distance themselves from politics and governance.

The clergymen noted that only mass participation of Nigerians in politics can help reshape and redefine a new development political spectrum for the country.

The Kwara State Christian leaders are of the opinion that politics is not a dirty game, as many would want to believe, describing the assumption as a misconception.

The clergymen want politicians across Nigeria to have the fear of God in all their dealings by putting the interest of the electorate first.

As the 2023 general elections draw near, the need for adequate sensitization on the part of the Independent National Electoral Commission and religious leaders, the clergymen say can not be over-emphasized.
