LASU BAKERY BEGINS OPERATIONS

The Lagos State University Bakery is now open for business to the university community and the general public. Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji – Bello, mni, the Vice Chancellor of the University and the visioner of the bakery, on Tuesday led members of the University Management to patronize the business by purchasing and paying for a batch of loaves. This served as a symbolic gesture to mark the official beginning of business transactions at the bakery.

She made a point of mentioning that the bakery is a component of the fulfillment of the fourth strategic goal that her administration has set for itself, which is to increase the amount of revenue that is generated internally with the intention of achieving financial sustainability for the University.

She issued a directive that the LASU Bread should henceforth be the only bread that will be sold on the University Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos, noting that the product is as rich and as tasty as any other bread produced in the Country, in order to stimulate the patronage of the product and to increase the profitability of the bakery. This was done in order to increase the sales of the product and increase the profitability of the bakery.

She expressed her gratitude to the manufacturing and sales personnel and urged them to provide customers with the highest level of service possible.

The Lagos State University Bakery is a part of LASU Ventures and makes bread in three different sizes: the family size, the enormous size, and the tiny (students) size.
