The Dapchi Christian Schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu, has delivered a second baby in Boko Haram captivity, according to a United States-based group, US-Nigeria Law Group.

The group noted that the young girl had both children in 2020 following the terrorists’ announcement of her childbirth earlier in 2020, including “We’re still investigating this.”
She was kidnapped from her school in Dapchi, Yobe State in early 2018 alongside 109 other female students at the age between 11 and 19 years.

Emmanuel Ogebe, the convener of the US-Nigeria Legislation Group, lamented in a statement that “despite an offer by an American pastor last month to give up himself in exchange for Leah’s freedom, there was no tangible response from her captors.
“That, however, intelligence received on the status of Leah indicates that she has delivered a second child in captivity.

“While we’ve not corroborated this by multiple sources, a usually knowledgeable source indicated that she delivered a second child late last yr.
“This means each child had been born in 2020 because the terrorists announced her childbirth earlier in 2020. We’re still investigating this.”

The Federal Government, under President Muhammadu Buhari, had vowed to do something attainable to free Leah Sharibu from the terrorists but three years have passed now and the innocent schoolgirl, a number of Chibok schoolgirls and many other unreported cases are still captive.
