Eragbe Anslem was the National Youth Leader for the Labour Party (LP), however the party has suspended him due to charges of misbehavior.
The party has chosen Prince Kennedy to fill the role of interim National Youth Leader for the party.
Anslem was informed of the suspension via a letter dated October 18 and signed by the National Chairman of the LP, Julius Abure, as well as the National Secretary of the LP, Umar Farouk Ibrahim. The letter said, “You may wish to recollect that on the 14th of October, 2022.” The National has the

The National Youth Leader of the Labour Party. In response to your complaint, a disciplinary commission has been established, and its findings will be reported to the National Chairman.
“As a direct result of this, the committee has forwarded its reports to the National Chairman together with its recommendations in line with the party’s constitution as Amended” (2019).
“In compliance with the party’s constitution, as Amended, (2019) and the committee’s recommendations, you are hereby suspended from your duties as the National Youth Leader of the Labour Party for a period of six (six) months, with effect from the 18th of October, 2022.
This suspension will take place with effect from the 18th of October, 2022. The meeting to confirm the entire recommendations of the disciplinary committee will take place within the term specified by the appropriate organs of the party.
“It has been brought to my attention that you have some papers and materials belonging to the party in your hands. Please return them to the undersigned.

In a separate letter that was addressed to Kennedy and titled “Letter Of Appointment as Acting National Youth Leader of the Labour Party,” it stated that the following was written: “Sequel to the suspension of the National Youth Leader, the National Chairman has approved your appointment as the Acting National Youth Leader of the Labour Party with immediate effect.”
“While congratulating you, the National Chairman urges you to be more vigilant and responsible in your behavior and performance of your obligations as the Acting National Youth Leader. ”
