Just three days after losing the World Cup final despite scoring a hat-trick, France’s Kylian Mbappe returned to training with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
Despite scoring twice to tie the 2018 winners’ match against Argentina on penalties, which was captained by his PSG teammate Lionel Messi, the 24-year-old cut a dejected picture.
PSG players were given 10 days off, but Mbappe was seen at the French champions’ practice facility.
PSG stated that Kylian Mbappe started working out again on Wednesday.
Mbappe, who has eight goals to finish first in the World Cup scoring race, was not anticipated to return until January, and PSG did not indicate if he would be ready for selection in their December 28 Ligue 1 encounter against Strasbourg.

After a lackluster first half in which they trailed 2-0, Mbappe gave his teammates a pep talk at halftime in Sunday’s final, according to a documentary about France’s campaign.
In a documentary by French television network TF1, Mbappe exclaims, “It’s the World Cup guys, this is the game of a lifetime!”
“In any event, we haven’t played much worse than we have thus far.
“We are returning to the field, and either we play stupidly longer, or we play harder.
The World Cup Final is underway! Even if we are behind 2-0, we can still win.

Even though Mbappe spearheaded the comeback, the team didn’t truly go into fighting mode until the 80th minute, when he converted a penalty to make it 2-1.
Mbappe would later convert his penalty in the shootout, but Argentina would not be defeated, with Gonzalo Montiel converting the game-winning spot-kick when Kingsley Coman and Aurelien Tchouameni were both absent.
