A two-day workshop on pension fraud in Nigeria is being organized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in collaboration with pension industry stakeholders.
“The workshop will serve as a platform for sensitization and practical exchange of information on how to eradicate Pension Fraud in Nigeria,” said Abdulrasheed Bawa. The workshop will be held on October 5-6, 2021 at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.
“The workshop will help identify areas of corruption in the Pension Administration,” Bawa said, adding that participants will work together to devise strategies for tackling the problem.
It is expected that Mr. Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), anti-corruption agencies, and members of the legislature and National Pension Commission will be in attendance during the workshop (PenCom).
There will also be representatives from the Military Pension Board, Police Pension Board, the Office of the Federation’s Chief Executive Officer for Pension and Records, as well as the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Budget Office (NUP).
There is the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Retirement Benefit Advisors, Pension Fund Administrators, and Civil Society Organisations.
