Nigeria’s Aviation Minister seeks to maintain relationship with Qatar

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, emphasized the importance of Qatar and Nigeria maintaining a long-lasting relationship, stating that Nigeria is eager for investments and committed to its policy of investor-friendly business practices.

The Federal Ministry of Aviation’s Head of Press and Public Affairs, Mr. Odutayo Oluseyi, provided the statement to journalists in the capital city of Abuja.

When the Charge d’Affaires of Qatar, Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Hor, paid the Minister a courtesy visit in Abuja, Sirika claimed that Nigeria, with a population of over 200 million, had the highest rate of returns on investments in the world at 34%.

The Minister claims that Qatar is an oil-producing nation with investments in other sectors, much like Nigeria, which has the infrastructure needed for efficient business operations.

Sirika went on to say that Qatar and Nigeria both need to improve their visa policies because they are making it difficult to connect the two nations as planned.
