Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, is hopeful of victory because he will appear before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court in Abuja next week, according to his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor.

This was stated by Ejiofor in a statement released on Friday morning following his routine visit to Kanu at the Department of State Services Headquarters.

“During the visit, our discussions centered primarily on our final preparations for the legal battle that will resume next week on the turf of the Federal High Court, Abuja Judicial Division, and on any subsequent adjourned dates, if any,” he said.

“We pooled the results of our individual reflections on the most effective legal strategies to be implemented in the future, fine-tuned and harmonized them, and then distilled them into a single, conclusive, potent, and workable formula.” Onyendu’s court performances should be impressive, we believe. Onyendu himself is in a great mood.

“Our conversations with him reassured him even more and strengthened his resolve to keep going. On January 18th, 2022, I declare to you, Umuchineke, that Onyendu is fully prepared to appear in court. He is rooting for victory and knows that with Chukwuokike Abiama’s help, victory is a foregone conclusion.

“You will all notice an intriguing dimension in the harmonised workable formula we have developed with your eyes.” The critics of Onyendu will be thoroughly humbled and permanently humiliated.
Furthermore, Onyendu took advantage of the opportunity provided by our visit to order us to warn his throngs of supporters and followers.

“He advises those of them who intend to appear in court as a show of their unwavering support and loyalty to him to maintain decorum, be civil in their conduct and comportment, avoid violence and deviant behavior in any form, and speak with restraint.”

“For our part, we have issued formal correspondences to responsible, sovereign, democratic governments and other international institutions, urging the Nigerian government to warn uncouth and overzealous security agents.”

“We can confidently state to you, Umuchineke, that those correspondences are receiving the attention they require.” At Onyendu’s next court appearance, we are hopeful that the said overzealous security agents’ behavior and general approach will have changed for the better.

“For the umpteenth time, we boldly declare that Onyendu has committed no criminal offense.” As a result, he must be released without condition.

“In these trying times, we especially appeal to you, Umuchineke, to demonstrate profound understanding and fortitude.” You must maintain your focus, tenacity, and resilience. Your unwavering spirit must never be shaken, and your resolve must never be weakened.

“At all times, you must maintain the peace and act in a dignified manner.” You will undoubtedly taste the sweetness of victory in the not-too-distant future. In your respective homes, joy and celebration will resound, while sorrow and sighing will take a permanent and unrelenting flight to the abyss.

“Onyendu expresses his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the millions of his supporters and followers all over the world.” He exhorts them to never lose hope and to cling to the one thing that matters most to them. He assures them that, with Chukwuokike Abiama’s assistance, the current distraction will soon pass, and victory and celebration will be their lot.”

Although there has been no official statement about where and how Kanu was apprehended by INTERPOL in Kenya on June 27, 2021, his relatives and lawyers have described how he was taken into custody in Kenya under dubious circumstances and extradited to Nigeria, where he is currently facing terrorism charges before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court in Abuja.
