In Oyo State, suspected Fulani herdsmen have broken into a public secondary school.
On Thursday, it was discovered that herdsmen had broken into the Community Grammar School in Alaropo Nla, Oriire Local Government Area, of the state.
Over twenty herdsmen allegedly broke into the school with their cattle and hurt a few teachers and students.
Many of the students and teachers, including Mr. Paul Olabode, sustained broken hands and legs while others suffered cuts from swords and machetes.
According to a source, when the herdsmen entered the school farm with their cow grazing aimlessly on crops, the students had just finished their morning devotion and were getting ready to settle down in their classrooms to continue their second term exam.
The herdsmen brutally resisted the students’ and teachers’ attempts to drive them away.
When contacted, Mrs. Grace Alamu, the principal of the school, confirmed the Thursday invasion.
Alama mentioned that the incident had been reported to the police in a telephone interview.
“I’m headed to the school.
