Senator Samuel Anyanwu, national secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has inaugurated his campaign team, Divine Mandate Movement, and officials ahead of the governorship election in Imo State.
Anyanwu stated that the team will galvanise victory for the PDP while maintaining that the party must sweep all levels of government in the state.
He appointed Hon Ngozi Ogbu as Director General, Barr Gozie Nwachukwu as Secretary, Hon Henry Onwukwe as Owerri Zone Director, Barr Golden Nwosu as Orlu Zone Director, Chief Ben Duru as Okigwe Zone Director, and Barr Vivian Ottih as Orlu Zone Women Leader.

Anyanwu said “Our party’s mission to rescue, rebuild and redirect the nation from the misrule of the failed All Progressives Congress (APC) should be the priority of evert well meaning Nigerian desirous of a radical change of leadership batons in Nigeria”
According to the PDP National Scribe, the Divine Mandate Movement has since inception in 2015 remained a resilient and irrepressible force in the quest to bring a new lease of life to Imo People.
He charged the new team with remaining united, strong, and focused, and ensuring that the mission for a developed society was not jeopardised by mischief-making, unnecessary attacks, intimidation, and threats by the state’s oppressors of good governance.
“However, we are confronted with the vexing issues of the reckless, inhumane, and anti-people APC administration’s abysmal failure, which has brought so much pain, sorrow, distress, fear, and regrets to our once secure, peaceful, united, and prosperous citizens in Imo State in particular, and Nigeria in general,” Anyanwu said.
“It’s no longer in doubt that the APC has subjected our people to the worst form of agonizing hardship, corruption, and violence. The government is laced with myriads of divisive propaganda has succeeded in destroying the fabrics of our society. Today, our people are looking up to us for solution and in return, we must reenergize ourselves for the Rescue Mission”.
The PDP national scribe also reminded them that an urgent responsibility for solution has been assigned to them, expressing optimism that the tasks placed on their shoulders would be tenaciously handled based on their track record of accomplishments in the past.
Anyanwu charged them not to yield or surrender to oppressive forces working against the society’s survival, but to remain firm in mustering and marshalling the highest sense of patriotism to secure the fate of the Imo people.
He praised the campaign organization’s members for their “unwavering steadfastness and commitment” in spreading the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) ideals, and tasked them with keeping the momentum going by massively mobilising the people for radical change.
The DMM DG, Hon Ogbu, spoke on behalf of all the officials, thanking Anyanwu for forming what he described as a formidable political group and finding them worthy to serve, and promising to work in collaboration with those inaugurated to achieve their goals.
