Premier League: Leicester City must end barren run against Tottenham – Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho insists Leicester City will try to end their Premier League winless streak this season when they face Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

Brendan Rodgers’ men will look to get their season back on track when they visit Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night.

The Foxes are at the bottom of the table and have yet to win a game this season.

A loss to Antonio Conte’s men could spell the end for Rodgers, who is under intense scrutiny following the team’s poor start to the season.

But Iheanacho believes that a win in London will turn things around for the former Premier League champions.
“It would be huge – so, so huge for the Club and everyone involved,” Iheanacho told LCTV.

“A win would give us the confidence we need to move forward this season.” We must defend as a group, attack as a group, and simply work hard as a group.

“We’ve been working very hard to prepare for this, and hopefully it will turn around this weekend.” Training has been going swimmingly. The message has always been that whether we win or lose, we stick together, but right now we need to show character, hunger, and desire.
“We know as players and as a team that we can get the results we need; we demonstrated that last season.” So far this season, things have gone in the opposite direction. We have a lot of talent on this team, so all we have to do is believe in ourselves and get the points to get back up there this season.”
