Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, has entered the race for the APC presidential ticket after consulting with the PDP and other political parties.
His media office said on Sunday that the minister had been consulting with members of his All Progressives Congress (APC) and opposition leaders.
On April 19, he plans to publicly announce his decision. Mr Ngige explained consulting opposition political parties to his supporters in Amansea, a border town with Enugu, after visiting Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, according to the media office.
“As part of my nationwide consultation, I paid a visit to Enugu State Governor.” He is an Igbo man, despite his membership in the PDP. He is a realistic and discerning individual.
Also keep in mind that Enugu is the former capital of the Eastern Region. “And you know that respect is reciprocal,” the minister is quoted as saying in the statement.
“Over the week, I also consulted some other Nigerians who are not affiliated with any political party,” he continued. As a result, I had to consult the governor of Enugu State about my intention to run for office and solicit his opinion. “Kick the ball into the net,” he said.
Mr. Ngige also stated that his presidential ambition “is not limited to APC members.”

“It is widely acknowledged among our PDP brothers that I tower over some of the candidates for leadership positions in their party. I am completely fearless. I’m up to the challenge. Even our All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) brothers will join us in the task ahead,” the labour minister stated.
He stated that he would turn Nigeria around in the same way that he turned Anambra around when he was governor.
“Those who did eight years have not done what we did in Anambra in 34 months.” I worked for 34 months and laid the groundwork for the new Anambra. Mr Ngige claimed, “I didn’t just lay the foundation; I also took the house beyond the lintel level.” “I have all of the necessary tools for the job. I intend to re-engineer Nigeria in the same way that I did Anambra. The date is April 19. All roads should lead to Alor, where the matter will be resolved.”
