Tinubu meets Buratai over 2023 elections

Lieutenant-General Tukur Buratai, a former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and current Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, met with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
According to reports, the two met on Thursday in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
Although the meeting’s specifics are unknown, it is likely to be related to the 2023 presidential election, as the diplomat is expected to play a key role in his home state of Borno.
Meanwhile, leaders of the Fulani ethnic nationality are planning to meet with Tinubu to discuss issues related to the 2023 general elections.
The Fulani Development Association of Nigeria leaders stated this recently during the inauguration of their newly elected executives in Abuja.
They plan to announce their presidential candidate for 2023 after meeting with Tinubu and one of his opponents, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
