Who Was United’s Man Of The Match Against Brighton

Manchester United defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 to pick up three welcome points at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored with a bullet of a shot and, in truth, could have had more as he also had two headed opportunities as he was a threat throughout. Bruno Fernandes added a late second with a solo effort from Paul Pogba’s quick free-kick.

David De Gea made one fine save to deny Jakub Molder in the first half, flying through the air to paw away the header, and was later quick off his line to stop Danny Welbeck getting the ball.

Anthony Elanga was bright and his tenacity led to Lewis Dunk’s red card soon after the goal.

There will certainly be support for the tireless Fernandes, although he will feel he should have scored earlier from one Ronaldo pass, the dependable Diogo Dalot and Scott McTominay, who put in a shift in midfield. Of course, the whole defence did well to keep a clean sheet.

But the choice is yours!
