Second property being searched in investigation into tradie’s suspicious disappearance

Officers are being assisted by the dog squad, major crime scene police, the State Emergency Service (SES), the Australian Federal Police’s specialist forensic search team and the NSW Police Force cadaver dogs as they search a property in Greenvale.

Romeo was last seen by his family about 5.30pm on Saturday, February 10 at his home in Craigieburn.

The 43-year-old told his parents he was going to Greenvale to visit some associates and left the property in a gold 2004 Toyota Camry sedan.

“It’s believed he attended a property in Greenvale and spoke to a number of associates there,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

“Adrian’s family subsequently reported him missing to police on Monday, February 12, and his disappearance is considered completely out of character.”

Police are treating Romeo’s disappearance as suspicious with police appealing for anyone with information about his movements in the lead-up to his disappearance.

“Investigators are also open to the possibility that the vehicle may have been dumped or sold in Adrian’s absence,” Victoria Police said.

A man was charged this week after police searched a property at Wildwood.

Police said detectives found a firearm, ammunition, drugs and four stolen vehicles ay a property in Wildwood, north-west of the city’s CBD, during a search on Tuesday.

A 34-year-old man living at the address was charged with prohibited person possess firearm, possess cartridge ammunition, possess imitation firearm, handle stolen goods and possess drugs of dependence.

He was remanded to appear at Broadmeadows’ Magistrates’ Court today.
