In what that could be described as double tragedy led into a state of emotional and psychological confusion for Nd’igbo in Amuwo Odofin LGA and general public was the sudden departure into the immortal of a Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Anambra South Senatorial District.
An Oil magnet cum outstanding philanthropist, Sen.(Dr) Patrick lfeanyi Ubah whose sudden death occurred in the early hours of Saturday,27th of July,2024 in an undisclosed Hospital in London aged, 52.
This was disclosed by Ambassador Comrade lkenna Nwaeze.

Sen. Dr Ubah was a Man of the People whose life was an exemplary one to the public both in the private and public sectors. He was a channel of solution to several disputes of Persons across him while alive. He’s philanthropic gestures were adjourned to be monumental at every given time.
Distinguished Senator Ubah was elected on the platform of Young Peoples’ Party (Y.P.P) in the 2019 general elections, got re-elected on the same platform in 2023 and defected to the ruling Party in 2024 as well as indicated interest to succeed the current Governor of Anambra State as the State Governor in the 2025 Gubernatorial elections of Anambra State according to the requests of Ndi Anambra but the hopes are dashed following his sudden death.
This regrettable news had left the Nd’igbo in Amuwo Odofin LGA highly devastated, totally dismayed and in a state of soba reflections.

Responding after hours of mourning ,the Amuwo Odofin LGA Chairman of Ohanaeze Nd’lgbo, Amuwo Odofin, High Chief Chikwado Lawrence Ezeunara (Ogbuefi Nwata nacho nke/Aka Oma ana ezi’gwe 1) disclosed that, another iroko tree has fallen forever. The Chairman recalled that the deceased contributed the sum of One Million naira in the fire inferno at Abule-Ado area of Lagos State.
He aided in several other humanitarian gestures. We will undoubtably miss him. He was a Politician with high instinct of political acumen and a successful business tycoon who measured in several sectors. Am still in shock till this moment and that was why, this publication is coming at this time.
We have beginning to miss him already. Just that, we cannot question God if not
May he’s gentle and kind-hearted soul continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord Almighty.
Distinguished Sen.(Dr) Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah was the second prominent lgbo Leader who passed on in few days after the late Ohanaeze Nd’lgbo World wide President General, Chief Dr Emmanuel lwuanyanwu(Aha eji aga Mba).

The deaths of these renowned Leaders have really created wide vacuums amongst the lgbo Community which led to the glob’s to serious prayers in their respective quarters against this sudden visit of Mr death by declaring that, such would never occur any longer.
Amuwo Odofin LGA Chapter of Ohanaeze Nd’lgbo would greatly miss you. Your legacies, we shall continue to keep and ride on. Your advice, mentorship and highly revered Leadership, we shall never thrown into the mud.
